In the word list 'Compliments you always want to hear' I find the expression คุณเป็นเพื่อนที่แย่มาก, translated in 'You are an awesome friend'.
I checked this with many of my thai friends here in Thailand, and nobody will use this ( or only if they are really angry with their friend)
แย่ means 'terrible' or 'badly', and not the 'awesome' that is used in the translation.
I wonder how such sentences can be part of a course intending to teach people proper thai.
Looking for better explanations.
