HideIt's said that Thai script is considered one of the most difficult scripts in the world. What do you think? For those who can write Thai, do you find writing Thai difficult?
Hello Salvo,
Thank you. Distinguishing between present and past tense can indeed be challenging, especially in Thai where context often plays a crucial role. In the present tense, we typically add "กำลัง" but it can be omitted once understood from context. For past tense, we can use markers like "แล้ว", "เมื่อเช้านี้", "เมื่อกี้นี้", "เมื่อวานนี้", "สองชั่วโมงที่แล้ว", or "สิบนาทีที่แล้ว". I hope that helps clarify things. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions—I'll be glad to assist further.

I can't see any difference in structure of phrases between present tense and past tense. I guess we should add some words in order to distinguish, unless we grasp the tense difference from the context of the phrase.
