Nick: Okay, Thank you! |
John: It’s really important to know what expenses you can claim at work. |
Anutida: Yes, you should always get that clarified quickly. |
John: Travel expenses are a really common thing. Speaking of travel, what kind of transportation is there in Thailand? |
Anutida: You can of course drive or get a taxi, but that isn’t always the best option. |
John: Does the rush hour traffic get bad in Thailand? |
Anutida: In major cities, yes. If you’re going to a meeting, the last thing you want is to be late due to traffic. |
John: What other options are there? |
Anutida: If you’re in Bangkok, then BTS and MRT are the most convenient. |
John: How about motorcycles? |
Anutida: Actually, there are motorcycle taxis, they’re pretty good at navigating through traffic. |
John: If it isn’t too busy, are taxis a good option? |
Anutida: I think so - they’re very cheap compared to most other countries. |

Lesson focus
|
John: In this lesson, you'll learn about instructions. |
John: Often when you have to give instructions, you have to do so in the form of a list. |
Anutida: A handy word for this is แล้ว(láaeo). |
John: That means "and" or "then." You can use it to connect different ideas and sentences. Let’s hear some other words and phrases that can help. |
Anutida: รบกวน (róp-guuan) |
John: This verb means "to bother." If it’s used at the front of a sentence though, it means "please." |
Anutida: จากนั้น (jàak nán) |

John: "First thing that you have to do…" If someone gives you instructions, you might have to ask for more information. |
