| Today, we'll be doing 5 Major Cities in Thailand. |
| Ok, let's get started! |
| 1. กรุงเทพฯ (grung-thêep) "Bangkok" |
| กรุงเทพฯเป็นเมืองหลวงของประเทศไทย (grung-thêep bpen muueang-lǔuang khǎawng brà-thêet thai) "Bangkok is the capital of Thailand." |
| I'm from Bangkok, so I'm a Bangkokian, like, a real Bangkokian. |
| So the word กรุงเทพฯ (grung-thêep), sometimes we call it กรุงเทพมหานคร กรุงเทพมหานคร (grung-thêep-má-hǎa-ná-khaawn) for a longer version of กรุงเทพฯ (grung-thêep). |
| Or, กทม (gaaw thaaw maaw), a shorter abbreviation of กรุงเทพฯ (grung-thêep). |
| But do you know that the real name of กรุงเทพฯ (grung-thêep) is actually the longest capital city name in the world? It's actually very long. I'll try. |

| 2. ภูเก็ต (phuu-gèt) "Phuket" |
| ฉันชอบไปภูเก็ต (chăn châawp bpai phuu-gèt) "I like going to Phuket." |
| I think this is one of the most favorite place foreigners love to go when they visit Thailand. I mean, the island is superb, its sceneries, it's beautiful and the food is really really delicious. |
| 3. เชียงใหม่ (chiiang-mài) "Chiangmai" |
| เขาไปเที่ยวเชียงใหม่ (khăo bpai thîiao chiiang-mài) "He goes to Chiangmai." |
| Chiangmai is actually to the north of Thailand, so it's one of the most popular, if not the most popular city in the north. So the weather is a bit cooler than Bangkok and they have their own culture there, it's great! |
| 4. ชลบุรี (chon bù-rii) "Chonburi" |
| ที่ชลบุรีมีนักท่องเที่ยวเยอะ (thîi chon bù-rii mii nák thâawng-thîiao yóe) "There are many tourists in Chonburi." |
| Do you know Pattaya? The beach, the famous beach, the famous scene in Thailand, Pattaya. |
| Pattaya is actually located in ชลบุรี (chon bù-rii), that's why there are a lot of tourists there. |
| 5. อยุธยา (à-yút-thá-yaa) "Ayutthaya" |
| อยุธยาเคยเป็นเมืองหลวงของประเทศไทย (à-yút-thá-yaa khooei bpen muueang lŭuang khǎawng brà-thêet thai) "Ayutthaya used to be Thailand's capital city." |
| So if you like to travel to historical places, then Ayutthaya is one of the places you have to go. |
