7. เรียน (riian) "to study" |

8. วันนี้เป็นวันแรกของการเรียน (wan-níi bpen wan râaek khǎawng gaan riian) "It's the first day of class." |
In Thailand, if it's the first day of class it would be very chaotic because, you know, like for me, when I was in school, when it was the first day of class, we didn't know anything at all. Like, on that day people will be informed, like, which class will you be in, which subject you have to study, the schedule of the whole semester. So it's very chaotic, and because we haven't met friends for one or two months. So the first day of class are always noisy, and you know, very messy. That is what I experienced when I was a student. |
9. เราอยู่ห้องเดียวกัน! (rao yùu hâawng diiao gan!) "We're in the same class!" |
Like in my school in Thailand, when we move to another grade, like, from Primary 3 to Primary 4, we always change class every time we move up. So, every year we have a whole set of different friends. So, if you'd get to be the same class as your friends or best friends, that is the best thing so far. |
10. เธอลงเรียนวิชาอะไรบ้าง (thooe long riian wí-chaa à-rai bâang) "What classes are you taking?" |
This sentence is actually used when you're in a college or in university, because in school, every subject will be decided for you to study. So everything is compulsory. So, you have to take everything. You have no choice to choose the subject you want to study. |
This sentence can only be used when you're moving up to college or university level. |
