So here is the word:
การเดินทาง
I am just learning the alphabet and so each time I get such a word, I sound it out and try to guess its pronunciation. Usually I'm a little wrong, and that's fine. The pronunciation for this one is "gaan dooen thaang". Based on its apparent spelling I thought it would be "ga ra di thang", which is a pretty bad guess.

เดิน
It looks like "e", but I have never seen this ooe vowel before. Thaipod101 does not seem to even teach about vowels, all I found was this: http://www.thaipod101.com/thai-alphabet/
Online, nobody mentions this ooe vowel. Has anyone seen a comprehensive list of thai vowels? How can I learn the language when they keep making up new vowels?
Here are some sources I found that do not list this vowel: http://letstalkthai.com/2009/07/07/thai ... ge-vowels/
